Pro Cycling Strength partners with IntelliTri to deliver expert strength and conditioning support for it’s athletes. With over a decade of experience, we offer two key services that provide evidence-based, personalised programs to improve robustness, economy and race performance. This collaboration ensures tailored, complementary S&C guidance that integrates seamlessly with the Ignite or coaching plans on offer.
Performance S&C Support
£99 per month
Consultation (Month 1 - £125) includes a review of training history, performance profile, and goals, with video feedback and a follow-up consultation to set the programme up.
Ongoing Coaching (from Month 2 - £99 per month): individualised programme via TrainingPeaks, tailored to needs, goals, and season structure. This includes:
Bespoke planning & programming.
Remote coaching support (typically via retrospective video feedback) as much as needed to maximise the effectiveness of your programme.
Ongoing communication around progress and goals.
Regular performance reviews with you and your coach.
More personalised and responsive to the athlete's history, profile and goals.
Equipment needs: Fully equipped gym access, and the essential basic equipment at home (see below).
£59 per month
Structured, complete S&C programme via TrainingPeaks, aligned with the phases of the ITT Ignite plan.
Demo videos and talk through videos for technique.
Covers essential foundations: lower limb, hip/trunk, upper body strength and soft tissue tone management.
Uses ‘reps in reserve’ as the driver for intensity in your strength training.
Basic equipment needs:
one adjustable dumbbell or ideally a pair with adequate load (2x upto 20kg dumbells is adequate)
doorway pull-up bar
floor mat
box/bench/step
strength bands
roller/ball

S&C Coaching Sessions
1:1 coaching sessions are available to all athletes and take place in South Manchester or Loughborough.
Loughborough rate: £100 per session
South Manchester rate: £72 per session
Get the most from your programme by developing solid movement patterns and technical skills that will allow you to progress and maximise your strength and conditioning. These personalised sessions are about giving you tailored feedback, helping you achieve your performance goals efficiently.
Periodisation of S&C
Polarised Foundation 3-4 mini sessions per week tagged onto training sessions
- movement foundation - split stance, single leg, push, pull, brace/carry
- progressively heavier work on lower limb and hip to develop underlying adaptations around stiffness
- low level extensive plyo, double leg and low amplitude
- spine & shoulder mobility, trunk (glutes/adductors, spinal stabilisers) strength endurance
Pyramidal Build - 2-3 sessions tagged onto training sessions
- Rate based force work, minimising heavier lift volume, except for key areas to support stiffness
- Some progression to plyo intensity if deemed suitable, progressed into single leg variations
- Trunk strength/stiffness (shorter duration/higher intensity holds/preturbs)
Taper/Race - activation based/almost entirely maintenance
- 1 short full-body session/week, maintain force/load on key areas for stiffness
- Focus on activation of trunk with spine and shoulder mobility
